Treatment for voice disorders typically is completed successfully over a 6 to 8 week period. Typically, therapy results in changes and improvements within the first few treatment sessions.

Voice treatment is provided at our facility or when appropriate, at your home or office using telepractice. We provide Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) and can offer this with our nationally certified eLoud therapists through telepractice.

Voice treatment is often aimed at changing entrenched patterns of vocal misuse and strain. These problems respond very quickly to the correct treatment.

A course of treatment for a voice disorder might typically be four to six one-hour treatment sessions*. At the time of discharge the patient is provided with a full plan for continued improvement and maintenance of good voice.

Following-up with prescriptive activities and exercises after voice therapy is central to improving and maintaining good voice use.

*Please note: Number of treatment sessions are typical estimates. Amount of treatment may vary based on individual patient needs. The speech pathologist will provide specific information about each individual treatment plan.
